eBikeTec Design Contest

I have just submitted my Torque - Electric Bicycle project to the eBikeTec Design Contest.

I am looking forward to the response on my project. For my presentation I decided that I needed to update my renderings of the bike. 
And lately I have started to work a bit with the Keyshot render software and I wanted to see what I could do with to bike. 
It is very fast compared to the same quality renderings in V-Ray (the software I normally use).

intramuros

A couple of months ago I was contacted by intramuros (an international design magazine from france). 

They were making an article about 'Urban mobility' and wanted to know if they could use a picture of my 'Torque' electric bicycle. 

I didn't think too much before I mailed them some different renderings!

Now I just got a pdf the september/october issue where the article is featured.
It is quite strange to see my own project in what seems to be a serious/large design magazine (I didn't know it before).

Cube Downhill bike

Have just made this 2D rendering of a Cube downhill mountainbike. It's drawn with pencil and painted with markers. 
Then I've used Photoshop to do the shadows and highlights.

I wanted to make a simple suspension design with to shock mounted low on the frame.
And with design elements from existing Cube bikes (Fritzz and Hanzz)

Bicycledesign.net

Bicycledesign.net is a website I have followed the last 3-4 years. 
James Thomas (who is an industrial designer and 'just a slight bit obsessed with bikes and cycling') 
collects more or less everything on the web about bicycle design on his website.
I had seen several school projects on the site. And now there is an article about my 'Torque' on bicycledesign.net.

Torque elcykel

Resultatet af mit afgangsprojekt 'Fremtidens (e) Cykel', blev elcyklen Torque. Jeg har haft som mål at lave en elcykel der er tænkt som en elcykel fra starten 

(i modsætning til de elcykler der findes i dag, som er alm. cykler hvor der er monteret en motor og et batteri). 

Jeg har samlet elcyklens tekniske elementer (det der gør den til en elcykel) i og omkring kædekassen. 

Motoren sidder i krankboksen og energien overføres til baghjulet gennem kæden.
